Cleaning Your Cabinet Hardware

Regular cleaning prevents residue buildup that can dull finishes. Wipe hardware weekly using a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, mix a mild dish soap with warm water and gently wipe the hardware.

Follow by drying with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent water spots or streaking.

Products to Avoid

Avoid chemical cleaners such as bleach, ammonia-based sprays, window cleaners, degreasers, and solvent-based products. Abrasive materials like steel wool or scouring pads will scratch and damage the finish. These can void warranty protection.

Handling & Usage

Use hardware with controlled force—pull straight outward rather than at an angle to avoid stress. Do not hang heavy bags, towels, or equipment from cabinet pulls or knobs. Over time, misuse can loosen screws or warp finishes.

Installation & Longevity

Ensure proper installation to maintain finish integrity. Use a 3/16-inch drill bit and verify alignment before drilling. Even slight misalignment can cause torque stress that scratches or wears the finish over time. Periodically check and gently retighten mounting screws.

Warranty Reminder

Berenson’s Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover damage from improper cleaning, chemical exposure, misuse, or incorrect installation. Follow the recommended maintenance guidelines to preserve both the finish and warranty coverage.
